I decided to look at vintage and modern day perfume adverts and posters. I choose this idea because perfume ads have been around for a very long time, and its one of those ideas that I believe has changed dramatically from the 1950's through to the present day. I wanted to challenge myself with this task and re-create a vintage and contemporary style poster that was as close to the originals as possible. I spent a lot of time researching and looking into vintage and contemporary style perfume posters and I wanted to specify my final outcomes on 'Chanel'. With Chanel being one of the most famous perfumes brands currently, it was the same back in the 1950's. It was a very high end perfume, something that everyone wanted, but not everyone could afford.
I used my mum as my model, as again after a lot of research, I found that ever since Chanel was first founded, the models have always been older women, then compared to the models that are used in other campaigns, where very young models are scouted and used, even as young as 15. So again, to get it as accurate as I could, I decided to use my mum as the model for this specific shoot to meet the requirements of the brief as much as I could.
I am over the moon with my final 2 images!! After spending time on Photoshop to make them look how I perceive a vintage and a contemporary Chanel perfume ad should, here are my final images! I hope you like them!

Please let me know what you think!!
